The service is for those experiencing stress, anxiety and/or mild mental health issues and seeks to provide strategies aimed at the prevention and onset of more serious mental health problems:
  • A safe and secure environment where the person feels comfortable talking about their situation;
  • An approach that understands the emotional, psychological and physical impacts of stress;
  • Encourages relaxation approaches and techniques;
  • A greater understanding of the link between emotions, thoughts (beliefs) and behaviours;
  • An opportunity to challenge any unhelpful thoughts and beliefs;
  • A focus on a range of alternative social and lifestyle practices (eg. exercise, diet, nutrition, leisure activities); and
  • A focus on the physical health of the client.
